Untitled [Ecstasy (after Wilhelm Morgner)], [c. 1950-60] Watercolor, gouache over pencil on heavier wove paper, mounted verso at the two upper corners on light cardboard - unframed - signed lower right Size: 50 x 70.1 cm ____________________________ Heinrich Schlief Painter, draftsman, printmaker. As an artist, Schlief was self-taught. He trained as a surveying technician at the Soest Building Trades School and worked in this profession until 1959. from 1907-09, he had contact with Christian Rohlfs and Wilhelm Morgner, through whom Schlief was introduced to art. He began participating in exhibitions around 1920.
