The lithograph print is a page from an authentic vintage 1st edition portfolio of Matisse prints published by Harry N. Abrams Inc. Publishers, New York in association with Aurora Art Publishers, Leningrad, Printed in The USSR in 1981. It features a Postimpressionist artwork image originally created by Matisse in 1909 titled " Conversation ". The lithograph plate image is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand to the page on the top edge. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side of the page that refers to a different artwork image. This print is suitable for framing. The print image measures 8 1/4" W X 6 5/8" H, on a page that is 9" W X 12 1/2" H. It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed.
