This unusual print documents the Westminster Cock Pit, one of London's most famous cockfighting venues, offering a fascinating glimpse into a popular but now long-forbidden aspect of early Victorian sporting life. This impression features a strong, well-defined plate mark with generous margins and retains its original hand coloring. The print is credited "Drawn by H. Alken" in the lower left and bears the title "Westminster Cock Pit in 1830" below the image. A faint "Proof" notation is present in the lower margin.
