Man with Cloak is a pencil drawing realized by Hermann Goldschmidt in the late 19th Century. Good conditions except for some little foxings and some tears along the margins. Hermann Mayer Salomon Goldschmidt ( 1802 – 1866) was a German-French astronomer and painter. He started out as a painter, but after attending a lecture by the famous French astronomer Urbain Le Verrier turned to astronomy. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
