In the early 1970s, Murray spent three years in Europe studying art and languages at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and a year in Italy at St. Michael's School outside Florence. She resides in the Monterey Bay where she is well known for her deeply saturated and textured oil seascapes and landscapes of Carmel, Big Sur, and surrounding Coastal areas.
