Sight 6 by 7 ½ inches Frame 12 ¼ by 14 inches August Johann Rosel von Rosenhof (1705- 1759) A German naturalist, entomologist and miniature painter. His detailed observations and artistic talent combined are illustrated in his published works on sea anemones and insects . He is often referred to as one of the fathers of German entomology.
