"I Wore Flowers" Abstract Figurative Contemporary Mixed Media Painting

Chairish

$3,300

"I Wore Flowers" is a mixed media, bright abstract portrait painting by Hudson Valley artist Monica Shulman. For this painting Monica marries her abstract expressionist style with her love of portraits and drawing. She made this vivid, electrifying abstract using oil paint and oil pastel. Monica used varying shades of blue, red, green, and pink over a black background to create a rhythmic, penetrating portrait that will add dimension and a pop of color to any space. Monica has been featured in various publications including Popular Photography, the Washington Post, Create magazine, and the Huffington Post. In 2019 she was named "Best Artist" in Westchester by Westchester magazine. She is a member of the National Association of Women Artists. Her work has been shown at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City, Photo LA, Art Market Hamptons, Frieze LA, the National Art Gallery in NYC, the National Association of Women Artists, PULSE Art Fair, and the New York Mercantile Exchange, among others. Most recently she exhibited a collection of paintings with Chairish at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Monica creates work from her studio overlooking the Hudson River in New York.
