One of 29 fine handcoloured aquatint plates . Very light offsetting from plate. The original accompanying text of this print is as follows: 'This plate represents a subaltern officer. The rank of the different officers in the Turkish armies are distinguished from each other by the form of their turban, or bonnets.'
