This small painting features a vibrant bouquet of irises in glorious deep purple, yellow, and blue with lovely abstracted and square-edged eucalyptus leaves in a pretty Delft-inspired vase in classic Blue-and-White with gold details. The background is pale crisp green somewhere between pistachio and mint ice-cream and shows lovely painterly brush strokes. This is new work, part of a series of new Spring themed paintings I have been creating as I wander through the fleeting beauty of the Northern California springtime.
