Landscape is an excellent artwork that depicts a naturalistic and fresh landscape with a huge tree in the centre of the composition and several other trees on the background. The work has been realized by the french artist israel henriet (nancy, 1590 - 1661). He was a designer, engraver and printmaker from lorraine, naturalized french. He was jacques callot's childhood friend in nancy. His father, claude henriet, first painter to charles iii of lorraine, was a friend of jean callot, father of jacques callot. He studied engraving in florence with antonio tempesta, at the same time as jacques callot and claude deruet this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
