Since the 1970s, he has participated in numerous events in rome, borgosesia, bergamo, and naples. He has also held solo exhibitions in brescia, where he has long since settled and where he participates in group exhibitions and competitions. Drawn to the landscape, he captures both its mountainous aspects, with characteristic woodsheds overlooking narrow streets, alongside ancient facades with corroded plaster, and the extensive gradation of the vast hilly panoramas: always marked by the implicit presence of man, from a tool left in a corner to a newly raised sheaf. Bigatti's painting style is influenced by impressionism, playing on iridescent tones from gray to ochre, from browns to antique yellows, to purple. Fruit of thoughtful synthesis, the essential compositional structure nevertheless reveals a subtle poetic voice formulated by a delicate vein. Nor should we forget certain delicate female figures and the still lifes, which reaffirm the artist's fine colorist and careful interpretation of a subdued reality.
