Jacek Sowicki is a Polish artist born in 1948 in Warsaw. He graduated from the Academy of Art of Krakow in 1968 and from the Academy of Arts of Warsaw in 1973. He is a member of the Polish Artist's Union. He has taught at the Academy of Arts of Warsaw. He currently lives and works in Warsaw. Today, Jacek Sowicki is considered one of the greatest Polish modern artists. He is a sensible, spiritual and intuitive painter. He draws his inspiration from his daily life, specially from his favorite pastimes such as painting church murals, the tarot, theater, lectures, paintings, the Chinese masters, drawings, music, photography, children, love and cats, from which he says, he learned how to preserve natural wild ideas, clarity and tranquility. Jacek Sowicki has participated in numerous exhibitions in Poland, Australia, Germany, Holland, Yugoslavia and Great Britain.
