This mid to late 20th century oil on paper scene with figures in a landscape is by Jane Rades (b. 1942) is a San Francisco Bay Area painter and poet. Rades studied at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee from 1960-1963, and at the San Francisco Art Institute from 1963-1965. Much of her work in the Lost Art Salon Collection comes from this period, characterized by the Bay Area Figurative Movement’s rich palette, loose brushstroke, and intimate treatment of the figure. Rades is a published poet who continues to live and exhibit in San Francisco. The piece will be shipped in a mat to fit a standard sized frame.
