Japanese Emperor Meiji scroll, five paragraphs calligraphed in a delicate, refined, sosho style, signed with one red seal mark, done in black ink on paper and mounted on a horizontally textured, gold silk nakamawashi, ten and ji, with a black and ecru, patterned silk brocade ichimonji, black silk ichimonjimawasi, white jikusaki, flat braided, black and white silk makio. Circa early 20th century no later than mid century. Minor creases are seen, that will flatten with continued hanging, otherwise excellent vintage condition. Image is 13 1/4" wide x 52" high.
