Saint Joseph gently cradles the Christ child, his gaze watchful and loving, and the toddler leans trustingly against the bearded man. Fernando Sayan creates a classic composition of great tenderness. Joseph is richly clad with the opulence of a seventeenth century Spanish grandee, and both are framed by glowing halos. The artist works in the style of Peru's splendid colonial art. Titled "San José y el Niño" in Spanish.
