An early hand-coloured lithograph depicting the construction of the Stationary Engine House, Camden Town, published in London in 1839 after John Cooke Bourne and issued by Rudolph Ackermann. The scene records one of the key engineering sites of early railway London, with workers, masonry, timber structures and machinery shown in rich period detail. Bourne’s railway views are widely admired for their accuracy and clarity, combining documentary importance with strong visual composition. Today the work reads equally as industrial history and as an atmospheric architectural print, with excellent scale and detail for interior display. Presented with a new mount and sympathetic frame under glazing. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
