June Border' Acrylic and marble plaster on canvas board Framed Image size 16" x 20" I create the picture first in plaster, made from marble dust and a binding agent. This produces a tangibly dimensional look and feel. After being gessoed, I then paint on this relief with high-quality, heavy-body acrylic paint. The end result is a unique and impactful artwork which tends to draw the viewer in. I love gardens, and most especially old-fashioned English walled gardens. Their herbaceous borders allow roses to tumble at the back amongst lupins and Delphiniums in pinks and mauves. What a display of abundance! This painting is on a canvas-covered board - no glass required. The painting has several coats of a satin varnish for UV and dirt protection. It is signed and dated on the back.
