BIO: KIM BAKER Born in 1955 in Oklahoma, Kim studied at Arizona State University with a major emphasis on researching traditional painting techniques, primarily egg tempra. For the past 15 years, he has been living in Arizona, painting and drawing the deserts of the area. He is considered an exceptional colorist which is evident in his first series of original lithographs entitled "Desert Enchantment". In this suite, he depicts desert cacti by building up tone with subtle color changes that exemplify the desert in bloom. In addition to being a fine artist in his own right, Kim is also a senior printer with Southwest Graphics Workshop.
