Kimberly Poppe, Tennis Court, 2014, Archival Pigment Print

Chairish

$926

A limited-edition photograph of a grass tennis court by the American art photographer Kimberly Poppe, shot at Boomerang Beach on the New South Wales coast of Australia. Poppe frames the court head-on and close, so the white boundary lines and the flat green surface resolve into pure geometry — the subject stays legible, but the picture reads first as abstract, minimalist composition. It belongs to the graphic, color-driven strand of her work, in which she isolates something extraordinary in overlooked everyday detail. The saturated green makes it a strong single note in a contemporary room or garden room, and a more considered choice for a tennis player's wall than framed memorabilia. Printed as an archival giclée on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325 gsm paper with pigment inks, in a numbered edition of 50 with certificate of authenticity. The image measures 60 × 90 cm; with its 1 cm white border on all sides the full sheet is 62 × 92 cm. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
