L'Acte d'Humanité is an original artwork realized by Robert De Launay in 1786. Original Etching on paper after Jean De Fraine. Lettered in French with names of designer and engraver, title, inscription in French giving details about the scene represented. Good conditions. Passepartout included (cm 32.5 x 48). Very fresh and ancient impresseion realized by the French artist Robert De Launay representing a lady visiting a family. The father is lying the sick in bed surrounded by children. The other members of the family are showing their despair. Advertised in the 'Journal de Paris', 17 July 1786, the plate was inspired by an aristocrat who helped a destitute family living in a village near her castle in Picardie (France). This artwork has been realized by Robert De Launay a French engraver and etcher (1749 - 1814). This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price.
