This is a moody 17th c. Landscape with a Castle in the background, a fisherman with his dog and a boat with passenger crossing the river. The frame appears to be original to the painting and is in good condition. Scenes like this one add depth and character and energy to a room. The size of the painting allows it to be placed in multiple settings or form part of a gallery wall. The period frame is most probably original to the the painting.
