LALIQUE draws its inspiration from Nature and reinterprets René Lalique creations. It is inspired by the beautiful Languedoc nature, an area in the south of France. As a reinterpretation of the leaves on Rene Lalique’s eponym vase, this Languedoc interior panel shows finely chiselled cactus leaves. This combination of heritage and innovation is presented as mirrors and interior panels to enrich the existing range in order to conceive more personalized and resolutely contemporary interiors. Trained as a jeweler at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Paris in the late 1880's, Rene Lalique gained recognition as an independent designer for some of the era's great jewelry houses including Cartier and Boucheron. Eventually, he turned to glassmaking, and his techniques were a triumph for the Art Deco movement. Every piece of Lalique is finely detailed and produced by hand in Alsace, France.
