Its strong colors and confident Art Deco period styling give it great visual appeal. The story of Fap Anis is rich with history, satire and a rather unexpected twist. Often credited as the first alcoholic drink to achieve success entirely through the strength of its marketing, Fap Anis began not as a beverage at all, but as a parody. It was conceived by Delval, a collective of intellectuals influenced by Proust’s early 20th-century satirical writings. They produced this distinctive poster, along with a series of advertisements for Parisian cinemas, performed by actors using exaggerated upper-class accents and filled with deliberately.
