This is a gorgeous Original Watercolor painting done on heavy Arches Paper by Listed California artist, Rich Buchwald (1925-2009). Buchwald studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and his works have been exhibited worldwide. His delicate yet deliberate brushwork creates beautiful atmospheric paintings unlike any other. He is known for his landscapes and seascapes, as well as his tasteful nudes. He has won countless awards for his work. This is a wonderful example of Buchwald's figurative work depicting a seated nude rendered with remarkable sensitivity and restraint. Executed in luminous transparent watercolor, the painting beautifully captures the graceful curves of the figure through loose, confident brushwork and a soft palette of warm peach, aqua, and lavender tones. The generous use of negative space creates a quiet, contemplative composition that is both elegant and timeless. Signed in the lower left. Sold unframed.
