Late 20th century oil on board painting after a work titled "An Allegory of the Arts," originally painted in the early to mid 1600's by Luigi Miradori. Depicts a nude putti cherub / young angel, seated on a swath of red cloth by a stack of books. Signed Mucchi, lower right. Broad, gilt wood and composite frame, ornately molded with large scalloped foliate corners and foliate borders. "Luigi Miradori (c. 1600-1610 - c. 1656) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active mainly in Cremona. Miradori was born in Genoa, thus also called il Genovese or Genovesino.
