Jerry (Gerald) DiFalco original drypoint etching aquatint "Mon Paris/My Paris, numbered 8/10. Signed lower right. Pristine condition print with crisp impression and rich darks. Depicts two rather ominous gargoyles in a surrealist manner recalled from his visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Obtained from the artist's estate. Framed with glass and double matting. Frame measures 17.5" wide , 14.5" tall. Image area is 9.5" x 7.5". The print is in undamaged, pristine condition. The frame has some nicks/abrasions with minor retouch lower left corner as shown. Further info: from the artist's Saatchi Art listing he describes the technique used for this particular print: "This detailed and intimate dreamlike etching, employs the techniques of aquatint, intaglio, and dry point. This image of gargoyles atop Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France, was based on a photograph shot in 1987." About the Artist Over his career, Jerry DiFalco (Camden, NJ 1952-2021) exhibited his work in over 400 solo and group exhibitions worldwide. He was deeply rooted in the Philadelphia arts community, working at and mentoring students at the Fleisher Art Memorial. DiFalco was an active member of Philadelphia's DaVinci Art Alliance and the International Print Center of New York & the Arts Alliance of New York among many others.
