The Abstract Expressionist poster print is published by The Cleveland Museum of Art, printed in 2009 with the licensed authorized rights of The Pollock - Krasner Foundation / Artists Rights Society ( ARS ) New York. It features an artwork image originally created by Krasner in 1960 titled " Celebration ". Lee Krasner ( 1908 - 1984 ) was an American Abstract Expressionist painter of a Russian Jewish background. She worked in painting, collage, drawing, and occasionally mosaics. Often cutting apart her paintings to create collage paintings. Although her marriage to artist Jackson Pollock sometimes overshadows the value of her artwork, the gestural and expressive works are considered to be some of the most important Abstract paintings of The 20th century. She is one of the few female artists to have had a retrospective exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Artworks by Krasner are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums. The offset lithograph print museum poster measures 36" W X 22" H.
