The Rat is an original drawing in pastels on paper realized by Leo Guida in 1973. Hand-signed in pencil and dated on the lower right. The state of preservation is good except for aged margins. Leo Guida: Artist sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave a productive interview on art and the function of the artist with many generations of young people during his activity. He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico di Latina from 1969 to 1985, and trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural landscape. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida showed all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
