Pat Willard A self-taught serti silk painter, Pat has been painting for 28 years has seen the techniques being used whilst on holiday in France. Pat's designs have been used in High Street stores for surface pattern designs, including designing plates for Royal Doulton. Many have been used for greetings cards including the World Wildlife Fund; plus she has painted for restaurants and hotels. Pat has exhibited at RHS Harlow Carr for eighteen years, also at The Station and theatre, Richmond, Leeds Playhouse, Lotherton Hall, Newby Hall as well as many galleries in Yorkshire. Her subjects are diverse; from floral to architecture and she plans to incorporate Calligraphy into her work as well as colorful abstracts. Pat is deeply involved in the Boston Spa Festival where a bursary is awarded to young artists annually. She feels her work has been greatly influenced by a trip to Japan and also by Indian art.
