“Spogliami” is an original contemporary work by Italian artist Lola Vitelli, exploring the human figure through gesture, texture and symbolic expression. The composition unfolds across a richly worked golden surface, where fragmented female forms and engraved lines emerge and disappear within the material. Rather than offering a conventional representation of the body, Vitelli creates a layered visual language in which the figure becomes trace, memory and intimate presence. The work is executed in mixed media on canvas. Modelling paste creates a strongly textured surface, subsequently engraved using the back of a brush to define the figures and spontaneous graphic marks. Gold leaf envelops the composition in a luminous metallic field, while a final oil patination deepens the tones and accentuates the relief of the surface. The result is an artwork with an almost sculptural quality, changing subtly according to the light and the viewer's position. Its monochromatic gold palette gives the piece a powerful decorative presence, making it particularly suitable for contemporary, eclectic or sophisticated interiors. The artwork is in good vintage condition, with any minor surface variations consistent with the artist's material technique and the nature of the work. Dimensions: 80 × 120 cm. A distinctive and highly expressive work by Lola Vitelli, combining painting, engraving and material experimentation in a deeply personal exploration of the human figure.
