Louis Icart (1888-1950) was one of the most prolific and acclaimed artists of the Art Deco era. As an artist who specialized in renderings of beautiful women and elegant living in the 1920's through 1940's, though highly romanticized, provided a break from the post WWI trauma and privations of the Great Depression. His talent as a graphic artist has influenced generation of followers to the present day. The dimensions of the image plate are 16+1/2 x 24+1/2 in.; and overall dimensions including the frame, of wooden 3" white gold gilding, are 37 x 46 in. This etching is in very good condition with no discernible staining or damage to the paper. The print has its full margins and has not been laid down (to pressboard) as is often the case. The print has been framed to archival standards using acid free mats and plexiglass. This work of art and presentation is of collector quality
