I spotted this vintage Chevy truck parked at the landmark Lucilles Historic Gas Station on Route 66 recently. The truck's nostalgic vibe, rusty colors and shapes made me think it was a great painting subject. Occasionally I paint cars and trucks as a palette cleanser, and this one struck a chord with me. I believe my father drove from Alabama to California on Route 66 in the 1940's, he would have loved this painting!
