Above the ripples of the sea surface and rays of light coming through below the water, a strong bold contrast of light & dark a great chiaroscuro effect. Artist biography Rodger McPhail was born in the ceremonial county of Lancashire, North West of England during the mid 20th century in the year 1953, he is a well known highly regarded artist especially in his subjects wildlife & sporting. He is a British Postwar & Contemporary artist. He was known to have studied his art profession in a famous Liverpool art school. He has collaborated with The Shooting Times & also the Famous Grouse Whisky. He is easily able to work in various mediums like oil or watercolour. He prides himself on having such an eye for exceptional detail. His works have been exhibited in galleries & sold at auction houses around the world. The current highest recorded sold price was for £12,075 Pounds Sterling which sold at Christie’s in 1998.
