A rare color abstract geometric composition, titled "From Color to Form IV", executed in 1969, by the celebrated Italian Modernist artist Marino Marini (1901-1980). This image is an rare artist proof, in excellent condition. Marini was mainly a sculptor, he studied in Florence, until 1940 he was professor of art at the Scuola d’Arte di Villa Reale near Milan, he was a friend and contemporary of Jean Arp, Max Beckmann, Alexander Calder, Giorgio de Chirico and Alberto Giacometti. He participated in the "20th Century Italian Art" exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in NY, 1944, with work exhibited in the Hague, Gallery of Modern Art Milan, Natiopnal Museum of Modern Art Tokyo, The Peggy Guggenheim Collection amongst many others.
