Mario Salmaso, Fuga Dalla Città, 1963, Charcoal On Paper

Chairish

$505

Mario Salmaso (Venice 1941 - 1995), created in 1963. The artist was a student and assistant to two key figures of the Italian twentieth century: the master Virgilio Guidi and the renowned abstract painter Giuseppe Santomaso. The work is an exceptional example of postwar Figurative Expressionism, capturing the profound sense of anguish and alienation caused by the impetuous urban and industrial development of the Italian Economic Boom. Charcoal drawing on paper/cardboard Certification and Condition: Good vintage condition with natural signs of aging. The authenticity of this piece is guaranteed by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued by the artist's family. Unframed. The work is in good overall vintage condition and is intact. There are three small tears (about 2-3 cm) on the top and bottom edges of the paper, which can be easily removed or stabilized during framing. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
