This is a matted original French fashion drawing that dates to the 1940s. It features the FUN new daywear look of plaid. We recently purchased a small grouping of day wear fashion designs in plaids in Paris; see others in our shop as they make a great grouping. This drawing is done in gouache applied opaquely and with a dry brush. Note the swing skirt and swing jacket and the swing of the scarf! Note the fabulous styling with the side button skirt, the cropped cape jacket, the magenta bonnet and the shoes with tie straps! The shading and colors are pure FUN. 7 x 10.5 Excellent, clean condition with no age marks. Comes in a white with black core 16 x 20 inch mat ready for a standard size frame.
