Michele berlot i am an architect, class of '63. I got into technical drawing and from there my "expressive" path was born and developed: at first abstract drawings made in india ink, the mixed techniques of the early 1990s, then using cad, in computer graphics. in parallel, i also devoted myself to "hand" drawing, made with traditional techniques. then i discovered the subject matter and began to paint. My painting can be called informal, but it is an informal definitely not gestural. It needs a background preparation on which to then work, spreading the color so that the brushstroke is not perceptible. i currently use paper and glue mixed with color: through numerous passes and overlays, i arrive at that balance from which my paintings are born. And precisely because of their materiality, they have many references to "natural" forms and it is very easy to also trace faces or figures that seem to inhabit the canvas, a microcosm in which everyone can imagine and build their own story. since 2022 i have been collaborating with the bohm fine art gallery in turin. work accompanied by authentic this piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
