A fine impression illustrated by Henry Winkles, an English illustrator, and engraver for a German encyclopedia compiled by Johann Georg Heck around 1860. The paper of this wonderful illustration, in three tiers, is faded to such a beautiful warm neutral with the detail of the steel line engravings still a beautiful deep black depicting, among others, bears, dogs, and other quadrupeds. Purchased from a reputable print dealer based in London.
