Etching of an ornate church bench in a French church. The title reads: "Siège du XVe. siècle, de l’église de Cresker, à Rosecoff, près St. Pol de Léon, en Basse-Bretagne" (15th century seat of the church of Cresker, in Rosecoff, near St. Pol de Léon, in Lower Brittany). This print is part of a larger book by the artist Nicolas Xavier Willemin (1763-1833), titled Monuments français inédits pour servir à l'histoire des arts depuis le VIe siècle jusqu'au commencement du XVIIe, published in 1839. I have several of these beautiful etchings listed and these would make a stunning wall display grouping.
