Northern Colorado Centennial Exhib., 1970. 23" x 32" Her work is at the Kirkland Museum Denver Colorado Frances was a gifted artist, and some of her artwork is featured on this page. Her work also included a book titled, "Design Background and Needs of Industrial Art Teachers," published in 1941. Frances Sue Nell Frakes Hansen, 87, passed away December 24, 2002. Born in Harrisburg, Boone County, Missouri, on December 3, 1915, she was the only child of Dr. Eugene N. and Cyrene (Graham) Frakes. By 1926 the Frakes family was living in Denver, Colorado, and Dr. Frakes was a practicing physician there. Frances graduated from East High School and maintained lifelong close ties with school friends. (1571)
