Alice Louise Walker was an American chef, restaurateur and author. She opened "Chez Panisse" in 1971 in Berkeley, California. She wrote several cookbooks and created The Chez Panisse Foundation in 1996. Her boyfriend, in 1966, was calligrapher and illustrator David L. Goines. Walters' and Goines' weekly cooking column in the "San Francisco Express Times" was the inspiration for creating "30 Recipes Suitable for Framing." These 16 original, unframed prints are from that collection. They are the second printing edition. In a separate posting, here in my shop, there are a total of 13 framed prints from that collection.
