Frank Martin, British (1921-2005) Intaglio Etching Titled "Nineteen Hundred". Artist signed and numbered 11/50. Framed under glass. Frank Martin was born in Dulwich, South London in 1921. He was a renowned Briish illustrator, wood engraver and print maker. Martin worked as a fashion illustrator for The Sunday Times (1949-50) and subsequently as a book-illustrator. During the 1970s and early 1980s he concentrated on his limited edition prints. with a focus on cinema, especially the Hollywood musicals of the 20s and 30s. Martin produced linocuts, woodcuts, etchings and drypoints, in colour and monochrome such as the one featured here.
