Robert Cox’s paintings are represented in many American museums (abroad, as well), collections and galleries. His works have been auctioned on the stages of Christie’s, Bonham’s and Cheffin’s. There has been much written about Mr. Cox (b. 1934 - d. 2001) and his love of painting brightly-colored, floral stills, with his talented use of lighting and a heavily-laden palette knife. I adore impasto-type, oil paintings—especially when they are done in rich colors and are encased with a gorgeous, golden baroque-style frame—that just exudes decadence, style and romance!
