The artist has painted the scene loosely, even leaving areas of the canvas exposed. The palette is rich and vibrant, imbuing the painting with a very bright and cheerful tone. The objects and flowers are set against a lovely blue background, which contrasts with the colours of orange, red and white that pop nicely.
