Monkey Candlestick

This delightful Monkey Candlestick was handmade exclusively for us in the picturesque Northern Italian town of Bassano del Grappa, where fine ceramics have been produced since the 17th century. Using a special white clay called terraglia dolce ("sweet earthenware") found in the nearby Dolomite mountains, skilled family artisans meticulously shape each candlestick by hand to create its expressive details and unique personality. Baked at 1000 degrees Celsius, the ceramic candle holder comes out of the kiln resembling snow white porcelain, perfect for hand painting and carving decoration.
