Mystic Ovals is a wonderful colored original mixed media painting (China ink, charcoal, watercolor) on paper, realized by an unknown artist, whose signature in pencil on lower right margin is not completely readable. Abstract composition with strong contrast and a mystic aura is the subject of this contemporary artwork, in excellent conditions except for minor defects on the right margin. This defect does not affect the image. François Chapuis was a French artist. He moved to Nancy with his family, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. Later, he moved to Paris, where he studied at the Centre d'Art Sacré. He also created many glass windows for churches. His name is famous for the ''mur lumière'', connected with the application of different materials on top of a surface.
