Artist bio: Nick Abdalla Albuquerque based contemporary painter, printmaker and sculptor Nick Abdalla first exhibited on a national level in 1962. Abdalla is an accomplished artist who has worked in many media; including pencil, inks, lithography, acrylics and other paints, clay sculpture and ceramics. He served as Professor of Art at the University of New Mexico from 1968 to 1997. Abdalla also served as Director of the Arts & Crafts Complex at Sandia Base (1964-1970) and on the Faculty Senate, City of Albuquerque. After many years as a painter Abdalla now makes large freestanding or wall-mounted cardboard and mixed-media constructions.
