Nicola Simbari, Crazy Horse No.1, Screen Print, 1976

Chairish

$456

Crazy horse no.1 is a screen print realized by Nicola Simbari in 1976. Hand signed and dated in pencil on lower right margin (Simbari 76) and numbered on lower left margin. Edition of 90 prints. Very good condition. Gorgeous artwork representing a female nude with an abstract composition; light pink background is a typical feature of Simbari. It's a good example of "abstract Impressionism". Nicola Simbari (San Lucido, 1927) was an Italian painter. Simbari's works are characterized by swatches of bright pastel hues to form stylized representations of people and places. His oeuvre features recurring landscape scenes of Mediterranean environments, often with partially nude women bathing or in the process of dress. Simbari's works can be found in numerous museums and private galleries around the world. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
