Lundy Siegriest (1925-1985) was a painter who worked mainly in California. Siegriest was born in Oakland, California to Louis Siegriest who was a painter, along with Siegriest's stepmother Edna Stoddart. Siegriest graduated from the California College of Arts in Oakland, and became a painter, initially starting out as a realist before becoming an abstract expressionist. He returned to the style of realism after a fall that broke his leg. Siegriest painted Western landscapes en plein air, and often exhibited his work with his father's. Siegriest's works can be found in the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, the Oakland Museum of California, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
