Oil on canvas still life painting of flowers in vase, painted by Texas artist Vallie Fletcher signed lower right circa 1920s-30s Fletcher studied at Baylor Female College in Belton, Tx and the Cooper Union and Art Student League in New York, NY. She exhibited in the Edgar B. Davis Wildflower Competition in 1927 in San Antonio, Texas. Painting measures 25 inches wide and 39 inches high, frame measures 31 inches wide and 36 inches high Painting has multiple areas of paint loss, mainly to the upper left. Still a very beautiful early Texas painting.
